Tomoko walked around the castle grounds,Quietly out of habit.Being a wander for so long can make someone become careless of whats out of bounds and whats not.Her pet dragon Talon hide in the form of a cat on her shoulder mewling while scolding her mentally about the hazards of tresspassing on the particualr castle grounds."Damn Talon you just don't ever shut up do you?!"she yelled the anger and annoynace finally cracking surface while the cat merely stared at her in dull mockery at the girls behavior."I am only looking out for you well being little one...To think i have such an immature rider."he sataed with a mental chuckel at the look of scorned pride on Tomoko's face.She glared and turned walking off heatedly."YOUR LUCKY I EVEN GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU,"She pused then muttered." Retched Bastard....". She growled to her self walking more vividly and loudly thinking she would lure someone and Fight them to let some steam off.While all the while Talon merely followed mewing here and there like a cat.

After doing what he needed to do he began wandering the castle grounds

"should everyone be down at the festival?"

he asked himself as he followed the sound of the voice and finds a girl with a cat sitting on her shoulder

"excuse me miss, im sorry but the castle is off limits everyone needs to be at the festival so would you mind if i escorted you back?

Tomoko looked over glareing at the man who decided to talk to her and said nothing continuing on her way.Talon mewed with mental comment."we should go to the festival there might be gossip about a job or even somewhere to sleep if only for the night Tomo"tomo growled and yelled at the cat again."No way in hell do i wanna go to these peoples stupid festival ..all i want right now is some one to tear to shreds!"talon sighed in his cat form and the jumped off the now surprised girls shoulder."hey what are you doing?"but it was too late there before her stood a giant silver blue male dragon with a saddle made fron the same material as the cat collars."YOU LITTLE ONE WILL BEHAVE AND SIT DOWN!!"she growled outloud as the shocked Tomboy sat as ordered by her elder parnter."yes sir..."she sqeaked.
Talon nodded in approval and then looked to the young man."forgive my rider she does not get along well with other due to past immature of the peoples part...it seems to have rubbed off on her.."Tomoko glared."HEY!"she screamed but then looked away scared when he growled at her.

"I am Koganei, i am the 1st Leut. to King Trace, please Majestic Talon take your other form and us three shall rejoin the festival and you can speak with my lord about a place to sleep."

Bows again, looking at the girl sitting down then turns and summons his pet hawk, Grayfor, with a whistle then ties a note to his foot sending him off to Trace.

"now trace knows your here, its best not to wander now, so please follow"

Smiles and begins walking back to the festival his mind elsewhere.

After Itami left Trace summoned his guardian back there they talked for hours about what trace should do "Thank you mighty sea dragon for your advice" Trace than noticed that Grayfor had just arrived, the falcon anxiously clicked his beak and scraped his talons on the rocks below. Trace took the letter from the falcon and began to read it quickly "Intresting" was the only word trace said as he slipped back on his robes and began to head back to the festival grounds to where Gail had told them where they would meet him.

Tomoko frowned at being told what to do and followed silently like she hadn't even followed at all.Talon was now again a cat on her shoulder."this is ridiculus!"she scolded her mental parnter quietly.all he did was meow to let the man know they were there.Tomoko looked towards the fair grounds getting a bit..shaky.Crowds! if theres one thing she hates it is crowds with the pierceing eyes of others.It's like war only silent jabber when gossip goes around and enough to drive the mercenary nuts."man..."she growled in stress.

"If you would make yourself at home, i shall summon my king and he will be here shortly"

bows and sits down in a chair pulling out his orcarina then begins to play a tune while saying in his head to Trace:

"sire, we are in the meeting room, she seems to be pretty harmless"

[i sat petting the baby dragon as i spoke with the key gaurdian about what had happened with Trace] "...and i never would have imagined he would..." i smiled and blushed.
he looked down at me and smiled "i see...perhaps other things will come as well...?"
[i looked away] "well...im not sure, its a bit early for that...and children are the last thing Trace needs...he IS king after all..."
"true. but just imagine it...son of Trace...future lord of Draeconis..." he said, raising a clenched fist, smiling and breathing loudly.
"hmm...." [i smile and look at the young dragon that lay in my lap] "Jiseki..."

[jiseki means "trace"]

Tomoko's eyes narrowed when the elf began to play his flute.But the music was..hidding a thread of his mind that seemed to be reacing out.She knew who was showing this and looked to talon with her own mental link."as harmless as he seems talon I feel something is amist...there toying with us..testing us for something ...and if there is anonther meaning to birng us to the king i won't just sit and take it"Talon mewed in agreement while his own voice rang back."and i will stand by your side for even now i feel a sinister presence aong these men...one which seems to be hidding and waiting to strike."anybody who entered would have seem the aproving nodd that made the cat run out of the tent quickly to locate the hidden energy.

Trace smircked as he heard the dragons and girls thoughts coming from inside "you can be at ease if i meant you harm in anyway my men would not have been so kind and just let you waltz around the castle grounds even if it was a time of peace during the festival" Trace walked into the chambers his normal attire and his giant gun blade strapped to his back. He looked at the young girl and she seemed frightened and nervous "you have no reason to fear anyone here," trace saw in her mind at how she was treated as a young child "we much like yourselves are outcasts and i dont intend to harm you in anyway" Trace extended his hand "my name is Trace Vorhes King of Draeconis but no need for any form of formalities call me Trace and you are?" he awaited the girls reply

Trace eyed the girl and let out a low breath "My mother" he said his thoughts racing back to the night where his mother was killed by him bcz of a sick test his father had put him through. He regained his composer as he took a seat at the table "So Black Lily what are your intentions? Do you plan to stay in Draeconis or just passing through? And i will apologize for bargeing into your mind i always like to know the people i meet in order to judge what they are here for before i meet them" Trace motioned for her to take a seat "also i would love to meet that cat you have outside and see his true form dragons are well respected across Draeconis"

Trace smiled and put his elbows on the table and put his hands together as if thinking "That makes two that have invaded my mind intresting, as for you i take you to be a mercenary unfortunalty i neither hire them or condone their line of work. If you need a place to stay i will have my men prepare a cottage for you and you can use it for as long as you want" Trace stared at the girl his eyes held a slight intent to cut her head off for invading his dark memories but he understood why she had done it "if you and your dragon want he can stay with the other dragons in the valley just make sure you see either my queen or Nova so he is not harmed by the others" Trace tapped his fingers together as he thought "if there is anything you require of me ask now and i shall grant it"

Tomoko."I see the intent to kill in your eyes...as for the request..even you a king..probably couldn't help me...i really have no interest in any material items you could offer...i don't need a college sleeping with talon is fine with me and i could probably learn more while staying with my dragon.."she lowered her eyes as the truest desire found its way into her mind.the two things and only to things her life was missing.1.was a home and a family who cared for her while the other was the love of a man unbridaled by appearnce of flaws that made up who she was."i highly doubt...you could grant my wish...no one can"her voice more distant and sad and wise than any elder could sound.

The intent to kill this girl faded from trace's heart when her thoughts screamed out to him. He knew her pain and how she felt because it was how he felt when he was a young boy "you will stay in the castle with Talon i will have my men prepare you a room and he will have plenty of room in one of the vast stables i will not allow someone staying in my kingdom to stay in the cold"
